Latin Kings
In the 1940's The Latin Kings began as a Puerto Rican social organization whose movement was to advance the Puerto Rican community  against prejudice and racism within the city of Chicago. By the 1960's the organization became dominated by the crimal element of Chicago engaged in drug trafficking. It soon would turn from a social organization into a violent street gang and  spread throughout the city of Chicago and in time would allow others of Latin descent to become members of the gang.
